FAQ

Do I need to reinforce the floor to support a freestanding bath?

Acrylic freestanding tubs generally do not require additional structural reinforcement, as long as your existing floor meets current building code standards. However, if you’re installing the freestanding tub on an upper floor or in an older home, we recommend having a professional assess the floor’s structural integrity.

Are the drain and overflow included with the freestanding bath?

Some freestanding bath models feature an integrated overflow and include a matte white popup drain. Please refer to the product’s technical sheet to verify what’s included with the freestanding tub you’ve selected.

What is the minimum distance required between the wall and a freestanding tub?

To ensure easy maintenance and access to plumbing, we recommend leaving at least 4 inches (10 cm) of clearance between the wall and the freestanding bathtub. This distance may vary depending on the model or installation type.

Are freestanding acrylic baths slippery on the inside?

The acrylic surface of our freestanding tubs is generally less slippery than the cast iron tubs found in older homes. However, as with any bathtub, soap and oils can build up and create a slippery surface. A non-slip bath mat or grab bar is recommended for users with reduced mobility.

What warranty is offered on your freestanding baths?

All of our freestanding baths come with a limited 20-year warranty against manufacturing defects. This warranty covers both the structure and finish of the tub, provided it is installed and used according to our guidelines. For full warranty details, click here.

What cleaning products are recommended for an acrylic freestanding bathtub?

Use non-abrasive products to clean your freestanding bath. We recommend a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge combined with a mild liquid detergent.

How should a freestanding bath be installed?

A freestanding bathtub must be installed by a qualified professional and in accordance with local building codes. Installation includes floor preparation, plumbing connections, and leveling the tub. Please refer to our installation guide for full technical details.
